Unlike today’s decentralized system, where a stolen credit card number does not expose health-records, or social media accounts, a Universal Digital ID will function as a master key to unlock every closet-and-drawer of a person’s life... their goal is virtual or physical financial prison. One hack of your vitals could mean total compromise- forever. Civil Liberty Advocates point out that once such a system exists, the temptation for governments to use it for censorship (just as the CCP uses Social Credit Scores as their digital-gulag surveilance system), a tendency for tightening the social controls will be overwhelming. A digital ID linking online accounts, medical records and banking would allow authorities to deny access to services, lock individuals out of financial transactions, or silence dissenters. AND YES, THIS WILL GO DOWN ON YOUR PERMANENT RECORD. The reason freedom feels scary is because you’ve been trained to feel safe in chains. Lysander Spooner (my favorite Anarchist aside from Jesus) said, “No man can rightfully be required to join, or support, an association whose protection he does not desire.” Chicka-Boom Chicka-Boom don’t ya just LOVE IT?

Taking the absurd seriously means acknowledging the contradictions between the desire of human reason and the unreasonable world - the contradiction must be lived- reason and its limits must be acknowledged without false hope and the blind leading the blind. The absurd can never be permanently accepted - it requires constant confrontation - constant revolt. The corporate agenda will be fulfilled - prepare for more ‘look here - not over there’.
